Piktochart
Unit Overview: Here you need to write a short explanation/paragraph describing the goal of the unit and what you had to do (refer to Ms. Ashley’s website in the unit overview)
In this unit we learned how to create powerful presentations. It was our first unit so the subject matter that we used for our first presentation was ourselves. My job was to create an infographic to introduce myself to the class. We used PiktoChart as our technology tool to do this. Before starting my PiktoChart, I had to plan because, failing to plan is planning to fail. I needed to include basic information about myself as well as my learning style and brain type. After taking many online quizzes I learned more about myself and my learning style. Then I started to create my PiktoChart keeping the principles of design in mind.
Enduring Understanding: How can you create a powerful presentation or poster? What are some good things to remember?
Some good things to remember are the principles of design. Some is to keep one main point per slide, use good fonts, illegal photos that are same theme and use the same colors repeating to create a formal neat look. Use the same fonts and make sure to site credits.
Strengths: Choose one standard (and type it in) that you felt strongly in, and explain why it was a strength
Digital Citizenship: Understands human, cultural, and societal issues related to technology and practices legal and ethical behavior. This is a strength to me because this was a easy to keep up with newcast reporters and news online. all the information gathered around me lets me think of what has been happening lately. and technology lets me explore what is going on in our world today.
Areas for Improvement: Choose one standard you wish to improve on, and explain your plan for improving in the next quarter.
Research and Information Fluency: Applies digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information. the next time my plan for next quarter is to practice. And get used to doing research and gather information.
